Housing Law and Policy course starts at Ballymun Community Law Centre 12 January 2011

Ballymun Community Law Centre (BCLC) is pleased to announce that the School of Law, National University of Ireland, Galway in collaboration with BCLC are to present the Housing Law and Policy Course by video link and with guest lecturers in the Civic Offices Ballymun.

The course will be presented by Dr Padraic Kenna, author of the definitive work on Irish Housing Law - Housing Law and Policy in Ireland published by Clarus Press, together with other guest lecturers.
This course on Housing Law and Policy in Ireland will commence with a historical and theoretical overview examining the development of housing in Ireland from the nineteenth century to the present day. Housing Law will be dealt with together with housing finance, mortgages and the planning, residential infrastructure and regulation systems. Social Housing Law, social housing policy, special needs and housing rights will be considered together with private rented housing, Succession and Family Law as applied to housing.
