Law Society of Ireland Human Rights Certificate commencing 3 November 2010, and Capacity, Mental Health & The Law Certificate commencing 9 November 2010

The Law Society of Ireland is offering two certificate courses, a Human Rights Certificate and Capacity, Mental Health & The Law certificate, commencing on 3 November and 9 November respectively. Both courses will run over a three month period, are subject to availability and carry a fee of €1,160 (per course). The Human Rights Certificate delivery method will be by means of blended learning, combining both online and onsite training, while the Capacity, Mental Health & The Law Certificate will be taught by means of onsite classes throughout the three months.


The Human Rights certificate will introduce you to the international, regional and national human rights framework. The Capacity, Mental Health & The Law certificate will introduce you to the existing legal framework in relation to mental health and the law of capacity in this jurisdiction, including legislation and best practice guidelines. Both courses are suitable for practitioners, trainees and students.
